Using Our Heart in Worship

To use our heart in worship, we get ourselves ready so that we are open to the promise of God meeting us there. People come to worship to encounter God.

Sometimes, it will be hard for us to have our hearts ready for worship when we arrive at church. Try not to bring your angry or sad feelings with you in your servant role. If it is difficult for you to get your heart ready, it is important that you tell the Coordinator. Sometimes, talking about it is very helpful. As a last resort, a substitute can be found for your role. You will have another opportunity to lead again when your heart is ready.

With our hearts open, we process in with the things that will serve to point us to God.
