The Easter vigil events made a powerful impact on all attending. For Easter morning, the chancel was adorned much the same as it was the year before. However, the sanctuary wreaths were replaced with gold Alleluia banners. Most agreed that these were especially effective and meaningful. They moved with the air during the service, underscoring the presence of the Holy Spirit and punctuating the joyous clamor of the congregation: "He is risen, Alleluia!"
