The Personnel Committee consists of at least six people, three from the Session, and three at large from the congregation. The three elders from Session are elected by the Session, one coming from each of the three classes. The at-large congregational members are recommended by the moderator and the pastor and elected by the Session. The moderator of

the Personnel Committee is elected by Session on an annual basis. The Personnel Committee functions as a pastoral arm of the Session for all staff of West Plano Presbyterian Church. The committee works with the pastor, who is the head of staff, providing resources and support for all staff (both lay and ordained) to assist in fulfilling their work according to Session-approved position descriptions. The Personnel Committee also performs annual reviews for all staff including the pastor. In addition, it makes annual recommendations to the Session regarding salaries and benefits. In the event of a disagreement among the staff, the Personnel Committee functions as grievance committee.
