To: The WPPC Congregation,
In every Presbyterian church, the Session is renewed every year. About one-third of the Session is elected to serve as elders for three years.
This committee has a difficult and serious task, as it is the duty of elders, individually and jointly, to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation committed to their charge. Those who will be called to this office will become members of your Session for the next three years. Each will engage in prayer and discernment as it issues calls to members of this congregation for nomination to this office.

The result of the work of this committee will be a slate of nominees for you, the congregation, to vote upon during the January Congregational Meeting. At that time, there may also be nominations from the floor (if there is prior assurance that the person will serve if elected). So, you can see, this important work is a shared one between this committee and you, the congregation of WPPC. We, the committee, ask that you keep us in your prayers as we go about this task.
